words words words

anyone who has spent more than 5 minutes with penelope lately knows that she NEVER STOPS TALKING.  this child is the busiest person i have ever met.

and she narrates it all.  i was going to do a post on the words she knows but she pretty much knows them all.  i can't even begin to list in terms of words. s he mainly talks in full sentences and is starting to pick up some phrases she hears in every day life.. how we have avoided her cussing so far is beyond me.  i have a bit of a potty mouth ... must work on that!

anyway... since penny can repeat anythign and learns about 20 new words a day... this post will be my favorite phrases she used lately and some of teh songs she sings...

"we hanging out"

"come on guys"

"follow me"

"it really really hot"

"running very very fast"

"pee pee where are you?" (said while trying to go on the big girl potty - she bends over to watch)

"hab a pignick" (we have LOTS of picnics)

"i pretty girl"

"baby penny ____ (fill in the blank)" - she loves pretending to be a baby.

and a few she says if she wants someone to leave:

"go to you cage"

"go home to you mommy"

"go to your bed"

now she does punctuate all of those phrases with "please" "thank u" and "bless you" - so maybe the "go to yoru cage" isnt quite so harsh that way?

penelope also can sing (i use that loosely) several songs.  she knows at least 2 to 3 verses of all the following... she sometimes needs help with the first word of the line... but does really well- can seems to have a bit of the tune too - which is more than you can say for her mommy :)

"barney song - i love you"

"wheels on the bus"

"happy birthday" - curently we sing a lot of happy birthday to penny :)

i think this will be the last time i can even begin to list her songs/phrases - i've never heard a girl speak so much at this age!

we had parents as teachers come over last week... and wouldnt you know it? she's a genius! (okay - my words)

but they did she was off the charts in language skills and was speaking well above her age.  she was suppossed to know 8 words and be able to make 2 word sentences.  she shot out a full paragraph in front of the lady - nailed it.

only thing she wasnt ahead of her age in - JUMPING.  this kid can't jump... still trying the phone book, small stools, etc. she skips. like al ittle fairy princes... such a girl :)

other than that... only new stats... she now weights 26 lbs!!!!
