apple pickin'

i LOVE going apple picking... eckherts is so much, with tons of stuff for kids to do and there is just something about the first trip there of hte year that just screams FALL!

 

this past weekend we were lucky enough to venture out for some apple picking with some awesome company - tim, jen and baby harrison!

 

he was not so sure of penny some of the time, and im not going to lie, the hand on the head is a bit condescending so i cant blame him.

 

penny of course rode pony's again but LOST her mind when the first pony she got on started pooping - she flew off into my arms...then we were riding pony number 2 who starting peeing - another freakout by penny (to the amusement of the line).  this may have been the first time she ever voluntarily got off a pony... :)

these boots are made for walkin'

Penelope picked these out at marshall's on thursday afternoon.  at least they were on the clearance rack.  and when the girl gets boots she commits.. put them on in the store and hasnt taken them off since.  she actually made quite the haul at marshalls on thursday.  she must have been taken lessons from grandma h.  not only did she find SEVERAL things to buy, she managed to find something in each section of the store:

 

shoes (those sweet pink boots)

 

bags (a lalaloopsy tote/luggage bag)

 

toys (loopsy magentic dolls)

 

jewelry/makeup (a priness set of chapstick)

 

and of course a checkout impulse buy of some halloween books.

 

can you tell daddy wasnt with us??? :)



god she's pretty

i mean, we all think our kids are gorgeous.  that's just part of parenting.  but you know how some days you look at them and you are blown away by how damn pretty they are??

 

this was one of those days.

 

(it also helped that she slept to 8:30 two days in a row..)

 

 

 



uncle kyle

 

so penelope is a pretty lucky girl... she has some pretty cool uncles who love her to death (and spoil her like crazy).  I wrote a post a while back on uncle tony... up today is uncle kyle.

 

penny and uncle kyle put on quite the show for the camera last night... she had a blast and he got some good parenting practice in... even a diaper change :)

 

with baby logan on the way, uncle kyle will be a daddy soon... judging by how much penny loves him, logan will be one lucky boy :)

 

 

 

 

 



celebrating baby logan!

this past weekend we celebrated the baby shower for aunt mary beth and penny's soon to be new cousin - baby logan patrick!

because uncle kyle is such a nerd cool guy, we went with a superhero theme!

i was a bit apprehensive at first but once we got to planning it was so much fun (thanks to etsy).

the shower turned out perfectly, mary beth and uncle kyle got some amazing presents, and we are all more excited than ever to meet baby logan in october!!!

manchester homecoming

pony rides.  those 2 words are mentioned in a 20 mile radius and we will be there.

well the manchester newsletter came out advertising homecoming weekend that included pony ride along with petting zoo, bouncy houses, face painting, and rides... it was pretty much a no brainer!

we met up with peyton there as well and rode some rides together, got some balloon animals made, and overall just had a great time :)
