charlotte - 11 months

only a few more weeks until my baby turns 1.  so weird this time around. I want to keep her small forever.  I know she's my last baby and while I love watching her grow it's a little painful to know that she is getting bigger and bigger and wanting to spend less time in my arms.

but for now, I'm going to love the cuddles I still get, her baby chatter, her drooly little kisses, and those chubby baby legs :)

char has been pretty busy this month!!!

*she scoots all over on her butt - it's so cute. no hands,  just booty :)

* Eating almost all real food and drinking out of sippy cups - we are starting the milk cross over. loves hot dogs, cream cheese, veggies, blueberries and all cheese

*has a few favorite toys - she carries around these 2 little ducks and balls.  she says "duck" and loves to show her favorite toys.  she has been taking them to bed lately :)

*getting closer to crawling. up on hands and knees, rocks and can move her kness forward - just hasn't figured out the hands yet.

*is loud! yells all the time - dadada - and loves singing - especially "itsy bitsy spider"

*playing more with penny - loves little people castle - especially tiana

*pulls up on knees - getting nosy and more and more mobile!

*had her first pigtails :)

*love hats!

we love you so much charlotte grey!!!  you are the best baby - excellent eater, sleeps well, always happy, just good natured as they come.  you are obsessed with her sister and can't to be able to keep up with her!!! love you so much sweetie - can't believe you are almost one!!!!

happy fourth of july!

we had a great holiday and a much needed long weekend!

had the neighborhood group over for fireworks up the street on Thursday, friends on Friday, and hung out with gma/pawpaw h and cousin logan on Saturday.  followed by a needed family chill day on sunday!

hope everyone's holiday was as great as ours!

where did my toddler go?

suddenly she is no longer a toddler.  shes a KID.

a kid who looks way too old, who can write her name unassisted and anything else if you tell her how to spell it.

was particularly impressed with this "menu" she made me while playing in her kitchen.  I yelled out letters then she gave me this :)

she is growing up and its happening in the blink of an eye.

she is still stubborn as all hell and dramatic as can be... but she is so incredibly smart, strong willed and a girl who will give anything a try.

she is the best big sister.. they have been playing more and more together and I love watching that friendship form.

I love you Penelope anne.

soccer time

now that dance is over, it's full on soccer time at this house :)

Penelope was VERY into the world cup - cheering for US, crying when we lost, and rocking her awesome world cup gear that she got from paw paw when she was a newborn (I looked huge when he brought it to the hospital!)

she starts her first team soon... and from the looks of it - she's ready!

penelope and charlotte might possibly be the luckiest little girls in the world.

penny asked daddy for a treehouse for her birthday.

I think daddy over delivered :)

Penelope's first dance recitfal

well after nine months of practice, dress rehearsal and only a few complaints, it was finally time to show off all that hard work - and she did great :)

Penelope loved it so much she actually just stayed on stage with her arms raised basking in the applause.. had to be reminded it was time to leave :)  (and thankfully uncle trent got that on camera)

so far she is not all that interested in dancing again next year and has turned on all her energy toward summer soccer... not gonna lie.. if she quits it'd be fine by me :)
