funny stuff

penelope is hilarious lately. she says and does the strangest things.. this is combo post of her latest silliness:

1. she is obsessed with jeff and christa's dog apollo. not sure what the deal is with these 2, but it's love.  she talks about "pollo" asks to see "pollo" calls all dogs "pollo" and got VERY excited when he gave her a bday present... so... it's only fair to give him some blog love :)



2.  penelope is VERY into her bathroom regions :)  we call them her potty parts (lady parts) then jsut got with regular old butt.  Kris has taught her to call farts - "poop air" so now she randomly blurts out "poop air comes out of my butt.  pee pee comes out of my party parts".  it's very lovely in public, or at dinner.  reminds me of the kindergarten copy kid.  video evidence of the classiness that is my lovely little girl

3.  Car rides.  we have the best conversation on the way home from work.  it always goes like this:

me: penny how as your day

penny: fun

me: what did you do

penny: played

me; played with what?

Penny: toys.

me: what do you want for dinner?

Penny: ummm.. chicken nuggets and french frieds.

there is something to be said for consistency :)

4.  bathtime..shes' hilarious to listen too at bathtime.. she'll start talking ot herself and you'll realize she's just repeating things she heard earlier in the day.. or getting confusing about things you talked about at one point with something else entirely.  the other day we were outside looking for the easter bunny. she got upset she couldnt find him, so I told her he was hiding.  later in the tub, she says, "the easter bunny is hiding in my potty parts"... uumm. no. that's not true. and that's weird.  but she knew he was hiding, she knows she can't really "see" everything in there - so in her little mind - made sense.  then somehow she swtiched gears, looked up at me and said "happy mothers day".  umm... thanks i guess?
