we continued our family outings with apple picking on sunday and were joined by uncle jeff and aunt christa.

 

penny had a great time, charlotte was an angel, and we have tons of apples!

 

we had a great weekend!

 



family of four

other than going to family events, we really haven't had many outtings with our new family of four.  pretty much since charlotte has been home someone in this house (or all four) have been sick.

 

we are finally on the upswing, weather is great and it was time to get out!

 

stopped at einsteins for penny's favorite breakfast, spent a fortune ordering our new hardwood floors, then hi lameiur (sp?) sculpture park for some kite flying action.

 

was a great morning!  such a fun day with our perfect little family :)

 

 I love watching her run like crazy with that kite! :)

i asked her to help take care of charlotte (aka make her stop crying) while I packed the diaper bag.

charlotte has been smiling occasionally (not gas smiles) since about 4 weeks.  she is stingy with them though and they are hard to capture!!!

 

grabbed a couple on my phone the other day..

1 month!

This post is about a week late - but i have a 1 month old!

 

some stats:

 

*sleeps 3-4 hrs at a time (always so hungry!!)

*eats 5oz every 3 hrs (40 oz per day!!)

*weight: ~11lbs (80th percentile!!)

*smiles!  she started smiling (only occasionally at people) at 4 weeks

*spoiled - loves to be held - whines when set down

*loves big sister penny (is a bit terrified of her too)

*sleeps in her own room (since about 2 weeks old)

*purrs like a kitten when you rub her head

*sleeps best in the swing

*loves to be outside when it's cool

*really good at holding up her head!

the bond

when i was pregnant with charlotte everyone kept telling me that the best part would be watching penny and charlotte together and the bond they would have.

 

they were right.

 

penny is an excellent big sister and charlotte is already learning to trust and depend on her.

 

it's amazing to watch... and listen to..

penny started ballet with payton last week and so far so good.

 

she loved class and can't wait to go again!  wasnt able to get pics yet during class but here are  a few of the girls shopping for shoes/clothes and right before first session.

visit with the q family

dono and reese came over this past friday to meet baby charlotte and play with penny.  and the adults got to have some hang out time as well.

 

penny loved showing off her sis to dono and reese and they proved to be excellent baby holders.
