well... we are down to about 9 days until little baby girl makes her grand entrance and things are about to crazy around this house.

 

took advantage of some awesome weather lately to enjoy some time with penny and have fun doing some of the things will be a little bit harder as a family of four soon :)

first mani-pedi

now that she is a big three year old - it was about time for our first mani-pedi experience for miss Penelope - she loved it :)

 

 

4th of July!

it's still the holiday weekend and we have been having a great one!  it's going to be rough for everyone to go back to work and school on Monday.  the weather has been great and we've been taking full advantage by being outside, enjoying friends and family, staying up late and sleeping in.  Penelope has slept til 8:30, 9 and 9:30!!!  believe me - this is a record for the kid who normally gets up at 6:15.  i love it!

 

she has been SUPER pumped for the big fireworks show this year on July 3rd and twin oaks did not disappoint.  we went to the same show as last year - walked up the street, camped out in the grass, and saw 20 solid minutes of great fireworks!  Loved it!  This year we were joined by uncle kyle, aunt mary beth, baby logan, uncle jeff, aunt christa, gma and pawpaw dulle and aunt lizzie!  i have zero pictures from the night but penelope and logan both loved the fireworks.  (as did baby girl who bounced around in my belly like a crazy person!)

 

on the actual 4th we kept it low key with just the family. a  little pool time, hanging around the house and then we did our own small fireworks at home - accompanied by smores!  we bought a new hibachi for our smores use and wasted no time breaking it in!  did a few sparkers, snaps and smoke bombs, as well as some roman candles, fountains and parachute guys, then tucked in early.  was a great low key 4th!  some pictures of our little family fourth below!  last few times as a family of 3 - so crazy to think about!!!

 



radio silence!

sorry if it's been a little quiet around here - between crazy summer time, busy work schedule, fathers day, birthdays, and oh yeah, the fact that i'm 8.5 months pregnant, blogging is taking a distant back seat!

 

however, i am await past 8 pm, Penelope is content and we have a free evening, so time to catch up on some pictures and posts.

 

i'm doing this first on the lazy way - combining 3 weeks into 1 post - sorry bout it.

 

in a nutshell - here is what we have been up to around here:

 

hanging out with friends!!

Penelope and her neighborhood buddies have been having a blast - playing a few times a week.  we take turns alternating houses, the pool and what we order for dinner!  kids are having a blast, moms get good company, and everyone wins!

 

 

 

 

making smores! 

it was camping week at school recently (okay like a month ago) and Penelope came home and asked for smores one night.  pregnant mommy was all to happy to agree to that for dinner! :)

 

 

 

 

hanging out with cousins!

aunt mary beth watched penny a couple weeks ago and they went "swimming" in the pool we bought logan for easter.  no one realized quite how small the pool is :)

 

 

 

 

even more pool time!!

we have been spending most Friday evenings at the pool - packing some turkey lunchables and spending 3 hours getting some kiddos nice and tired.  Mainly it's penny and payton on these nights.  I've yet to brave the camera at the pool - so all pictures are on our way out the door!

we had a great and low key fathers day.  had a day with daddy then saw both grandpa's on that sunday!  penny rocked a matching shirt with daddy (don't worry we got one for the baby sister too!)

 

 

 

getting too old!

Penelope is acting and looking older and older every day.  she just had her three year check up and is doing great.  about 31 lbs and 37 inches tall - growing like a weed!  she just seems soo much older to me lately - i can't even imagine how old she will seem when her sister gets here!  i love this picture :)  On the way to the magic house on afternoon with payton.

and oh yeah - in the midst of all this - busy growing this baby girl!  i'm 35 weeks pregnant now and our c section is schedule for exactly 1 month from today - August 6th - 4 more weeks and we get to meet our newest addition!  we are pretty ready to go  - and i know miss Penelope is getting anxious!!
