purses

penelope is once again very into her purses.  she has been taking them with her everyone and also asking that we go "out to eat".  we went to breakfast and dinner yesterday cuz i'm lazy.  for both outings she brought a purse.

the purse she brought for breakfast contained the following:

Yes, this a picture of apollo.  and this is his second blog second.  penny loves him.  he now goes places with her.  and she tells him stuff.  yesterday she was crying when i changed her from a diaper rash.  she said "i tell apollo"  so she grabbed her photo (that was of course handy) and held it while i changed her and said "pollo - i crying.  my butt hurts".  shockingly, he did not respond.

outing 2 that evening we went to red robin.  i was craving a burger and holy moly it was fantastic. the bleu burger. if you haven't had it - go get it. i kind of want to eat it again tonight. but i digress.

on the way out penny went to get her purse and came over with 2 purses.  she told me - i take 3.  i said "no - how bought 1". She said "how bout three".  well played penelope. out negotiated by an almost 2 year old.  maybe i'm in the wrong line of work... dont tell my boss.

so - she packs up again - this time with these littel lalaloopsy dolls she loves, some cars, and a bracelet.  we get to dinner she gets out her purse, and like a little old lady takes her stuff out one item at a time and arranges it just so on the table.  the proceeds to accesorize with her bracelet.  after a minute she tells me "it no fit".  (it of course fit fine - she's insane).

but - i have to say she was AWESOME. has been fantastic out to eat lately. I honestly expected that from about 9 months on out out to dinner days would be over.  but penny is a great copmpanion these days.  she eats well, sits in chair, entertains herself with her purse contents and then just tells the best stories.  i love listening too her.

she was being so good we stopped for ice cream too.  well apparentely she was enjoying her slow pace and leisurely eating and did NOT appreciate kris rushing her.  she said on many occasions: "i still eating." "i NOT DONE YET". 

who would have though she'd be the one wanting to hang out a restaurant?

i plan on taking full advantage while we can - mainly cuz i'm too lazy to cook.
