i can't believe it but tomorrow our little baby is going to be one month old already... how crazy is that.. it was a long long wait for the pregnancy but the past four weeks have flown by. penelope has changed our lives so much and is such an amazing little person. the no sleep, seconding guessing yourself, crying for no reason, and all the other emotional upheaval a newborn brings is worth every second.
she has grown so much already. penn is now lifting up her head to look at you when she lays on your chest or when she does tummy time. she is holding her pacifier in (sometimes) and trying to hold onto her bottle. she is awake a lot more and just really enjoys staring! she loves her stroller on walks and loves her carseat. she wakes up at stoplights though. she is stubborn as ever... you have to fight to remind her she likes her bottle and her paci. she kicks her brother gatsby when he licks her too much and she hates baths. she also hates diaper changes too. but she loves her boppy.. could lay in there all day. she likes being outside, but not when the sun is in her eyes...
she loves eating! up to 3.5 oz every 3 hours and she sleeps a bit better at night - only up 2x. she is moving to her room soon - once mommy can let go...
she makes the best face in the world when she is checking something out - her owl face... and she loves to just be held up to mom/dad's chest. her favorite place to take a nap is on daddy.
there is so much already i could write about her forever. we are so lucky and overjoyed to have penelope in our life and can't wait for the future... but would love for time to slow down a bit.
penn is still pretty small - not yet 8 lbs, and she is still in her newborn clothes and diapers.. however - some things actually fit now and she outgrew one dress! she might actually fit in 0-3 soon!
she has a friend now too -her buddy lily who is just 2 weeks younger - they had their first play date yesterday. picks coming soon.
mommy got a new camera - just needs to learn how to load it now!

overall its been an exhausting and amazing month and i wouldn't change a thing. we love you penelope.
