water babies

first pool time ever for charlotte and first of the season for penny. they stayed and played happily for about 1.5 hrs - I'd call that a success!!

 

can't wait for the big pool to open for these little water babies!

 

 



Charlotte 9 months

I'm actually early with this post instead of my normal 2 weeks late :)

 

well charlotte hoffman you are now (at least in 2 days) 9 months old.

 

how the heck did that happen!

 

some highlights:

 

*eating more and more "big kid food" - uses pincer grasp

*can clap (looks like a seal) :)

*can wave

*swimming for the first time - LOVED it

*says "hi dada"

*makes funny faces - loves to do a huge gummy smile with her eyes closed

*best friend is penny (even though she still pulls her hair every chance she gets)

 

she is still just a happy good natured little girl.

 

we love  you so much pretty baby!

 



easter!

my chances to write blog are few and farther between so you are going to settle for photo overload.

 

we had a great easter this year - started with the eckharts easter party - which we definately do again - it was great.

 

then had a good friday easter party with mommys work friends

 

then finally easter sunday with the family!

 

no real order to the pics below.  penny LOVED hunting eggs and charlotte just loved chewing on everything :)

so darci finally quit slacking and took pictures of my pretty ladies.  she could have picked a warmer day though - geez.

 

it was 25 in the am and windy.  the poor children were not happy so we limited it to about 15/20 mins and called it a day.

 

gotta give credit to darci - best 15 minutes of photog work I've seen.  although, it could be the subjects are just adorable and make your job easy :)

charlotte - 8 months

how can this beautiful little girl be 8 months already? (worst part is i waited until 8 months to get pictures like these).

 

you are perfect charlotte.  stubborn, adorable, affectionate, loving, sweet, perfect.

 

some char highlights for month 8:

• 4th ear infection (one more and tubers :( )
• loves graham crackers
• loves all food really - some new favs - corn, peaches, yogurt, meat
• says "hi"
• can do "so big"
• has two bottom teeth (with another bottom one of the way)
• rides in cart at grocery store/Costco 

 



Silver Dollar City

For penny's recent spring break mommy took her with some of my mommy's friends and their kiddos for a long weekend in branson.  Penelope is a great traveler and LOVES going on vacation. she had so much fun and still talks about it non stop.  her favorite party, was silver dollar city.  she was a champ on all the rides and was tall enough this time to do pretty much everything.  except mommy had to go to.  and I HATE rides.  Penelope likes to tell everyone how when we rode the roller coaster mommy cried and she had her arms in the air the whole time. (this may or may not be true).

she was a total rockstar on go carts, roller coasters and just in general. drove all the way down w/out stops.  was great at the house, loved every minute of vacation.  only time she cried was when we had to leave.  I promised her we'd go back again... and even bought a season pass!
