since i was off work for maternity leave i was pretty excited to get to join in and chaperone penny's field trip today to the pumpkin patch.

 

she was so excited to as well and I got there a little bit early to check out how her school day operates... loved watching her at circle time, playing with her friends then riding the bus and on her field trip.

 

she was amazing all day.  there is something pretty awesome about watching the little girl that screamed and cried when she went to school for four months, the stood alone on the playground, that overall just had a horrible time adjusting, turn into this little social butterfly that played with everyone, tried all the rides, slides, towers and is so loved by each teacher.

 

and she of course is only friends with the boys.  conner, jack, braden and penny. :)  love it.

kansas city!!!

we had a great trip to Kansas City last week to visit with uncle kevin, aunt lisa, calvin and emmeline.

 

not going to lie.  roadtrips with two kids alone (when one is only 9 weeks old) are brutal.

 

however, they did pretty well considering, and we all had a great (and exhausting time)

 

I loved seeing penny and calvin play - they are so sweet together even though they only see each other every few months.  every time it's like it was just yesterday.

I dont know if it's her age, her vocabulary, or just having a baby around, but penny is seeming older and older lately...

 

(maybe the running to room, "i'm so mad at dad", door slamming, "I didnt do nothing" tantrum is also to blame)

 



2 months!!

i'm a little on charlotte's two month post - but we've had a very busy october so far!

 

apple picking, trips to kc, birthday parties, etc!

 

and still more (including a trip to Disney for penny!) to come.

 

here are my little chunkers stats: (as of 2 months - she's actually ten weeks tomorrow)

 

height: 23.5 inches (85%)

 

weight: 12 lbs 6 oz (85%)

 

head: 94% (its that big brain).

 

overall she is great - a little spoiled, loves to be held, takes pretty good daytime naps and still eats a ton.

 

not soo good in evenings yet though..

*the swing

 

in exactly 2 weeks she starts daycare and I go back to work :(

 

until then - I have time to take a million pics of my little monster - so far your viewing pleasure....
