negotiations....

EVERYTHING is a negotiation lately.  and no, i'm not talking about my job where i actually do that.

 

i'm talking about at home... with my 2 yr old. 

 

and i never win.

 

i'm going to start bringing her to work to deal with the difficult suppliers - she's way better than me.

 

some examples:

 

 

me: penny it's time for bed

 

penny: um... mom... what do you say i go to bed in about 20 hours? how bout that? okay good.

me: penny, let's go sit on the potty.

 

penny: mom i would but i'm just not ready yet. i'll probably be ready when i'm three.  or thursday.

me: penny, you can't have another cookie.

 

penny: i'm going to count to three.

 

me; what's gonna happen when you say three

 

penny: I'm going to be really disappointed in you.  and i'm going to call your mom.

 

me: my mom will say that i'm the boss because i'm your mommy so you have to listen to me.

 

penny:  no, your mom will she's disappointed in you for making penny sad and you have to listen to her cuz she's your mom and your boss.  now i want a cookie.
