so.. i have LOTS of pictures from Arizona in September.. just not getting to uploading them.
going to 2 posts... one about the travel to and from.. and then another with our photos of the kiddos together.
penny has been talking about this weekend for over a month.. she was soooo excited to visit her baby calvin.
as she told me MANY times, "baby cal live far away. i take my airplane to get him"
then the night before: "let's go get my cousin and bring him back to me"
umm... we aren't stealing him penny...
she did excellent on the plane. well, maybe not on the flight down. but to be fair, it was past naptime and extremely bumpy. she actually did a lot of screaming "i want to get off this bumpy ride". picture screaming toddler, sweating mother - not that much fun.
the airpot before the plane ride was a blast though! she LOVED It. loved looking at the planes, loved talking about her airplane, loved the idea of just being on the airplane - and getting "HER" airplane and her cousin :)
photos from way out... dont be fooled by the sleeping photos... that wasnt sweet sleeping. that was sweaty, passed out sleeping after screaming...
now... luckily the way back was sooo much better! thank the lord. after the flight down she told me "i just want to drive home" i started really panicking the morning of our retrun flight when she started crying when it was mentioned.
but thank goodness for aunt lizzie. lizzie was with us at the airport before our flight (we were on seperate plans but had an hour to kill together). add in some food, a picnic on the floor, a front row window seat for checking out airplanes, lizzie to play loopsies with, and an appreciate crowd to perofrm for... and penny was in heaven :)
she was an ANGEL the way back.. just quietly fell asleep, woke up after we landed nad was in a great mood - and VERY happy to see her grandma and grandpa h waiting for her at the airport!
not to mention flowers (for mommy) and a balloon (for penny) waiting for us at home :)
overall it was very successful traveling... in penny's words:
"my airplane was HUGE, take me back soon. me loved it!"
