we had penelope's six month dr. visit this am (about 10 days early) and she is doing amazing!!!!!
i seriously have the best baby ever. i'm not biased at all
stats:
Head: 10th percentile (still has a small head!) but it has rounded out a lot - so no helmet!
Height: 25.75 inch (65%) - she is tall!
Weight: 14 lbs 7oz (31%) - still my small little girl!
we got a couple shots today - which did not go well - penelope threw her biggest fit yet - she was furious!!!! bottle, paci, walking around, nothing would calm her down for about 10 mins. the nurse finally came back in to offer tylenol. (which i had already given her!)
doctor said she is doing great developmental - a little slow on some gross motor skills (still not much of a roller) but she is doing really well on sitting and stnaidng - so she is pleased.
great on fine motor skills (grasping objects, batting them out of the air, transfering between hands)
great onc ommunication (baby babbles, blowing bubbles, noises)
and advanced socially (she is a couple months ahead in thsi one!) but that does nto suprise me - penelope is a bit of an attention hound - so being a little social butterfly just comes natural!
over she is right ont rack and perfect!
and most exciting - food!
we get to start cereal today then introducing the vegigies and stuff int he next couple weeks. i'm irrationally excited to feed her real food! just in time for thanksgiving! dr. said she can eat sweet potatoes with the rest of us on thursday!!! :)
oh - the parting thought she left me with - baby proof!!!!! get downon our hands and knees and see where she woudl go, what she can grab, etc.
looks like i'm going to target today for baby proofing and baby feeding :)
